Sunday Morning 9:00 am
This is our service of traditional Lutheran liturgy. Our beautiful pipe organ accompanies the hymns and Our Saviour’s Choir provides special music. Communion is offered during the service and is available for those who wish to receive it.
Children are welcome in our worship service, and we include a time for a special Children’s sermon. Children’s bulletins and activity bags are also available.
This service is broadcast live each week on a local FM radio station – WZNL 94.3 and on our YouTube Channel.
Coffee and goodies are provided in the Fireside Lounge following the 9 am service. This provides a welcoming opportunity for fellowship with others.
RECEIVING HOLY COMMUNION AT Our Saviour's Lutheran Church
Jesus Christ offers this sacrament to baptized Christians who have received instruction regarding the sacrament and who trust Christ’s words that the sacramental bread and wine are in fact his body and blood, given and shed for the forgiveness of your sins [1 Corinthians 11:24-25, Matthew 26:28]. St. Paul teaches us that as often as we receive the Lord’s Supper, we are proclaiming Christ’s death [1 Corinthians 11:26]. This means that when we receive the Lord’s Supper we are confessing what the Bible teaches about Christ’s death, as faithfully witnessed to in the Evangelical-Lutheran Confessions of Faith, that sinners are justified before Almighty God by faith alone in Christ’s blood alone [Romans 3:25]. Children, others who have not received instruction concerning the sacrament, and anyone not receiving the sacrament for any reason are invited to come forward for a benediction. Please fold your arms across your chest to indicate your desire to receive a benediction.
