Every Wednesday in the fellowship hall the Quilters of Grace (formerly known as Hospice Quilters) serve the Lord in acts of kindness, making comfort quilts for those in Hospice care and quilts for our high school graduates. In addition, the quilters will be making baptismal quilts as a welcome gift into Our Saviour’s family.
For years the quilters have had to rely on generous volunteers to provide the finishing touches to their quilts. Now they are ready to take this task on themselves. In order to do this they have purchased a long arm stitching machine for the church.
To raise additional funds for purchases such as batting, thread, and other necessary quilting supplies, the quilters will be offering quilts for a silent auction that will be displayed in the hall outside the Fire Side Room.
There are seven lovely quilts on display at the top of the stairs by the Crystal Lake entrance for their silent auction.
Bids will be taken from July 1st through August 31st .
The opening bid for each quilt is $100, with increased increments no less than $25. The community is also invited to participate in this auction, with quilts available for viewing and bidding during summer office hours Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, 9:00am to 3:00pm, and Fridays, 9:00am to noon.
If you would like to bid anonymously, you may use your Church Offering Envelope number, or stop into the office to be assigned a number.
